Check out a project from a remote host (clone) ![]() If you need to manually configure RubyMine to use Git from WSL, go to the Version Control | Git page of the IDE settings Control Alt S, click the Browse icon in the Path to Git executable field and select Git from WSL via the \wsl$ path, for example, \\wsl$\debian\usr\bin\git. ![]() Also, RubyMine automatically switches to Git from WSL for projects that are opened when you use the \\wsl$ path. If Git is not installed on Windows, RubyMine searches for Git in WSL and uses it from there. RubyMine supports Git from the Windows Subsystem for Linux 2 (WSL2), which is available in Windows 10 version 2004. If the IDE can't locate a Git executable, it suggests downloading it. When you clone an existing Git repository, or put an existing project under Git version control, RubyMine automatically detects if Git is installed on your computer.
